It was built in 1933 and originally named after Marika Iliadi and donated mainly by Elena Venizelou and by her mother Virginia Skylitsi. The main building was designed by G. Diamantopoulos, after Elena Venizelou visited a hospital in Lozani and having discussed with its architect G.Epitaux. The building has been listed.
