Detail of the building (2015)
The Library consists of three contiguous neoclassical buildings. The two oldest buildings were built between 1911-1912. The third building was erected in the mid-1920s with a donation from Emmanuel Benakis to house the library of Yiannis Psycharis. It belongs to the Greek Parliament and it has been listed. In 2021, the process to restore the buildings began after several years when the Library was closed.
