The recording of the historical buildings of the Community of Psychiko was completed in the first month!400 buildings from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s were recorded by archaeologists-cultural heritage managers Eleftheria Eleftheraki and Katerina Bouropoulou. The architect Giorgos Ninos, using aerial photographs, documented the year of construction of buildings that had difficulty in dating them accurately.
At the same time, the trees in the gardens and sidewalks were recorded! The recording began with the participation of the Mayor Mr. Charalambos G. Bonatsos. At the same time, four meetings of residents were held in the A' Square, in the former Blue Bell building, provided by the Municipality of Filothei-Psychiko.The participation was great and the storytellers who were filmed told amazing stories about the buildings, life in the neighborhoods, the schools, the war.Following the stories is a history lesson.A separate interview was taken from the architect-urban planner Mrs. Eva Zoumboulidou-Karayianni, daughter of the great architect Nikolaos Zoumboulidou, with the collaboration of the architect Mrs. Yianna Pavlidou-Apostolakou.The meetings with the residents and the interviews are edited by the philologist Nelly Lavda and the archaeologist E. Gratsia. At the same time, archival material was offered to be digitized and returned by Messrs. D. Apergi, D. Filippidis, E. Filippidis, A. Touliatou and Mr. Papaevangelou.
The poster of the program designed by archaeologist Athena Papadopoulou and the informational brochure of the building registration program are ready and will help us in highlighting the work carried out by the ΦΦΠ in collaboration with MONUMENTA.(Photograph Dec. 1950, 1st Public School of Psychiko: Archive D.
